Kerfuffle Labs LLC is an independent software company in Massachusetts. We build software that brings order to everyday chaos. Our first product is Family Rumpus, a family assistant for households with kids.
Who we are
Kerfuffle Labs is small and founder-led, and was organized in September 2026. Our first product, Family Rumpus, is built by a parent for families with kids. We don’t run ads or sell data. Customers pay for what we build, and that is how we make money.
About the name
A kerfuffle is a commotion, usually a fond one, and everyday life is full of them. A house with kids has one going most mornings: the missing cleats, the permission slip, the practice that moved. We build software that brings some order to it.
How we work
- People stay in charge. Our software sorts, suggests and reminds, and people decide. In Family Rumpus, a parent sets up the family and chooses what each child can use.
- Your information stays yours. In Family Rumpus, a family’s content is encrypted before it is stored. We don’t sell it, show ads against it or use it to train AI models.
- We take extra care where it is owed. Children use Family Rumpus, so children’s privacy rules and a parent’s consent shaped it from the start.
- We write plainly. Our policies say what we collect, why, and which companies help us process it.
